Hi! To anyone curious if the IGT is faulty, just analyze Resident Evil 2: 4th Survivor (Hunk) videos side by side. The timer that is displayed regardless of the version will remain consistent taking into consideration mistakes even with slow downs on PC. The timer for the mode (x 'x "x) adjusts just like it does with all other Resident Evil 2 scenarios. Hopefully people can realize that, because it's simple facts. Feel free to jump in on whether You think Hunk mode proves nothing's wrong with the IGT or not.

I thought we'd already established that IGT was fine and people were just complaining for the sake of complaining. Hopefully this quells it.

Well, I don't think this thread is "Part 2: IGT or Real Time" I'm just laying out more evidence and shifting the focus to Hunk mode as well. I hope it quells it too lol


this is a side by side of my hunk run vs the world record hunk run by TheLevelBest

Demonstrating to you guys so you can have a clear idea about whether you think the IGT is flawed. not just hunk, but ALL the time, there is flat out inconsistency in RTA in even the normal scenarios. take this video for example:



* Note-keep in mind that the movement here can be improved greatly, but the player knows where to go without trouble.

It ran roughly 1 hour, 3 minutes, and 2 seconds, starting from controlling Leon to ending at the start of the final cutscene. IGT was 58 minutes and 23 seconds.

Now, compare this video to my run:


The IGT came out to be 49:54 at the time of recording (I couldn't capture the timer due to Fraps, but it was visible for me). the RTA was roughly 53 minutes and 28 seconds.

i'll subtract the real time by the in game time for both runs

1:03:02 - 58:23 = 4:39

53:28 - 49:54 = 3:34

then the differences will be subtracted

4:39 - 3:34 = 1:05 RTA difference between my run and other player's run

The reason why my RTA and the other player's RTA was different is due to the fact the game's real time is affected by the computer type for everyone.
