So, my PB is at like 1:55 and I think the key to success among other things to achieve a really good time in this game is having a perfect prison part (2 prison parts if we count the second time you go in there).

I don't know if there's someone active in this game besides me atm but I would love to hear hints for dodging zombies/whatever things and other kind of tips!

I haven't given this game any thorough attention but from my experience to dodge the zombies its basically the opposite of your natural instinct, and by that i mean you naturally feel like going as wide as possible around then will do the trick, but it seems like running inward towards them and sticking pretty close to them gets you around them in tight spots, they seem to have some insane lunge in this game so moving pretty close to them prevents the lunge attack.

Pretty much what dchaps said is on the mark, the close and tight zigzag movements are usually safer than a straight run from a bit of distance.

i like pork rolls
i'm with you on both prison parts. they are the hardest part of disc 1 and a REALLY rough start to the run.

it's all about brushing past them or staying away from their hands; their lunges are designed for mid and long range grabs. the idea is to run upclose to bait the lunge and then quickly swerve around them. as long as you keep moving they can't touch you at close range. there's no room for error as staying in a single spot for a split second will get you grabbed so practising this is gonna be a pain in the ass and a lot of the camera angles make dodging harder than it needs to be but that's the game for ya. that hallway leading to the red ant+vase requiring 3 dodges in a row, 3 times, is an absolute piss take.

the good thing about dodging is because it's all about close range you can do this almost anywhere, so potentially you can take no damage at all from zombies as long as your spacing and timing are spot-on. i'm not joking that even seemingly impossible situations can be done.

if you are grabbed you can shake them off before getting bitten but you need to be fast; doing it on reaction is hard as fuck and most of the time you'll be pre-emptively mashing and rotating the controller to guaruntee it.

from the side or behind you'll get past easy but it's the front where dodging is hard and very risky because there's a 50% chance they won't lunge resulting in an instant bite. this bite you can't shake off until you're bitten once and for claire it's an absolute nightmare getting through disc 1. this requires extra observation on your part, reading their behaviour as you approach them. it's usually obvious when they start running towards you but others won't go for the instant bite until you get in their face. it's unfortunate but that's cvx.

i can give you a run down of each dodge and where you should move if you want. it'll be a long list of screen caps from my latest run.

would be nice of you to do, i dont know to much about CVX, i just ran through it blindly on stream the other day and beat it in 2hours 58 minutes, my route was probably sloppy, but i had alot of those yolo moments where i just ran past zombies because i had my spacing correct it really is an interesting tactic i'm gaining more interest in this game lately.
thank you for your tips guys. I made the other day a run on PS2 emu to get dem savestates and practice the "hot spots" aka pretty much every prison hallway.
